About
Andrew L. McCart’s academic and professional interests intersect at the nexus of health systems management, workforce well-being and leadership education. With extensive experience in health care administration, quality improvement and competency-based curriculum design, he integrates organizational psychology, financial analysis and performance science to prepare future health care leaders. At Appalachian State University, Andrew contributes to the Flight Path Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management program — one of the nation’s longest continuously certified undergraduate programs by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). Andrew also teaches in the online Master of Health Administration (MHA) program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). The program equips working professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to lead health organizations, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health agencies and biotech firms.
